Video Chat!
Today, Mr. Phillips and Mrs. Pio's classes joined 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders in a video chat with Mrs. Leinen using Skype. We got to ask questions and Mrs. Leinen gave us some really cool answers! Here are some pictures from the assembly. Thanks for taking time out of your busy week Mrs. L!

Former Eagle in Souderton-what????
Guess who is coming to Souderton for Super Bowl!!! Probably my favorite old Eagle and one of my great friends, David Akers.
David and I have been friends for 12 years. He was the person who married Mr. Leinen and me and he baptized me (in Caela Talmadge's pool!!!) a few years ago. He will be in town speaking at the Men's Breakfast Bowl on Saturday. Sooo, if you see Mr.Leinen driving around town with him, say hello. He will be staying with us and they will be hanging out while I'm gone.
Funny how it was only a few years ago that David was on the 49'ers and I was working with him at Super Bowl. Now I'm here - and he's there!
If you want to send any notes home with Mackenzie tomorrow (I know she's sick today) please do and she will give it to him!!!
Have a great day!!!!
Family Arrival Day!
Hello West Broad!!! Today is a fun day for the team. Their friends and family arrive at Super Bowl! They will leave for practice around 2:00 and when they get back there will be a big party to welcome everyone. It is supposed to be around the pool but we are expecting rain so I'm not sure what will happen.
I want to talk about Media Day!!! Did anyone see ESPN or NFL Network on Tuesday? There are always crazy people running around trying to get extra attention from the players. Check out these two "clowns".
There are also a bunch of celebrities and people you would recognize if you watch a lot of Sports Center! Do you recognize this guy???
His name is John Clayton. He was the closest person I could find who may be Pony tail guy. I looked everywhere...and unless this guy
Shaved it off...I'm pretty sure he wasn't at Media Day. I even recruited my friend Ashton (pictured with John) to help me. John did wear a ponytail in a commercial once, does that count???
I also wanted to share a few pictures of the players lounge which they used to eat and get ready before going out to see the media. It had video games and a barber shop!!!
Here are a few other pictures of the day. Their arrival, the media talking to Richard Sherman and back stage of the NFL Network booth.

Media Day today!
You all know what that means!!!!
Time for me to go and find "PONYTAIL GUY"!
For those of you who do not know what that means, visit this site later today or tomorrow for pictures of this fun day (and rare find from our first blog).

Great weekend!
We went to the stadium to pick up signs to put around the hotel. We decided to pick up the Patriots signs too. Funny how the coaches' signs ended up side-by-side, isn't it??? Hope the bigger sign wins :)
Lastly and probably the best part of the weekend was when the team asked me to take Russell Wilson to the Pro Bowl. Did anyone watch it??? He had to do an interview with Chris Berman at half-time and I had to get him there!!! I was nervous we may not be on time so the police helped us by letting us follow them. When we got into traffic, they put on their lights so we could get by faster. Here are some pictures of us on the field for the interview. It was SO MUCH FUN!!!
All of the mascots were there too! Here are the two "horses" from the Broncos & Colts.

The Countdown begins
It was a fun day yesterday finalizing the plans for the teams to arrive. We met with people at the airport to see where they will park their planes. You may remember that they do not go through the airport like we normally do. It's quite a process to watch and I cannot wait to share pictures on Sunday.
We are going to Arizona State University this morning to get it ready for the team to practice there. I know this place well because the Cardinals games used to be played there before they built a new stadium. It's nothing fancy but will be where Seattle gets ready for the big game.
It is beginning to look more and more like Super Bowl around here. I will get out today and take pictures.
Have a wonderful day! Send me more questions!!!!!

Bad weather?
Hello West Broad! I heard you were having a little bad weather today. I'm happy to share with you pictures from my office!
I'm sorry - I couldn't resist! After last year in snow, rain and sleet, it's so nice to be back in a city with great weather. You may just see pictures of me floating in the lazy river at the hotel this year!
Today was a great day! We are busy getting the hotel and practice fields set up for the team to arrive. The city is starting to look like a Super Bowl city. Buildings are being decorated and more people are starting to arrive. The Pro Bowl is in just a few days which is added excitement for all of us. Tonight is the big draft to see what players will play on what team for that all-star game.
Have a great day, bundle up and when you get cold think of sunny Phoenix!

Greetings from Phoenix!
Thank you Mr. Smith for setting up another awesome blog for all
of us!!!
I arrived safely in Arizona and I am patiently awaiting the
arrival of the first few members of the Seahawks. Today we will meet with the
hotel staff to go over where the team would like to have their meetings, what
rooms they want to sleep in and what the hotel should expect over the next two
weeks. It is exciting for me because this team is ready to go considering they
were in the Super Bowl last year. The major difference for them is the change
in the city & weather. Last year it was cold, rainy, snowy and the game was
outdoors. This year it will be warm, sunny and we have the option to close the
room of the stadium if the weather looks bad on the day of the game.
Pay attention to the video about the field moving in and out of
the building. It is really cool to watch and a very clever idea to have the
grass grow outside and then bring in it when they are ready to play the game.
Right now, they only have the white paint on the grass, today they are getting
ready to paint the end zones with the team colors and put the Super Bowl Logo
on the field. I really hope the Super Bowl will be as exciting as the NFC
Championship Game last Sunday against the Packers and Seahawks - WHAT A GAME!!!
Please post questions and I will answer them when I have time. The next few
days are preparing for the arrival. This year the teams will arrive on
different days. It is their choice if they want to arrive on Sunday or
Monday. The Seahawks chose Sunday and the Patriots chose Monday.
Does anyone know what else will happen in Phoenix THIS Sunday???
I'm looking forward to hearing from you and sharing in the fun
this year for Super Bowl 49.
